Edison's
Patent Accomplishments
| Thomas Alva Edison once
promised that he would produce a minor invention
every ten days, and a "big trick" every
six months. At the time, Edison and his staff were
typically working on 40 projects at one time. Edison
was also applying for as many as 400 patents every
year. Thomas Edison received 1093 patents in his
lifetime, either as an inventor or co-inventor,
and was thought to be a major contributor to the
"machine age." |
